Authorities were searching today for a missing swimmer at Lake Mead, National Park Service spokeswoman Christie Vanover said.
The man was reported missing at 11:52 a.m. after he jumped off of a houseboat to swim to shore with others, she said.
He was last seen swimming in the area of Sandy Cove, she said. It is unclear whether the man was wearing a life jacket.
He is the third swimmer to go missing at Lake Mead this week.
On Sunday, a 53-year-old man was reported missing at 11:43 a.m. after he jumped off of a boat to go swimming in Lake Mohave, about 15 miles south of the Hoover Dam, Vanover said. A 25-year-old man was reported missing at 2:21 p.m. near Boulder Islands on Lake Mead.
Both are still missing.
