Andrew Brown and Taylor Teagarden had run-scoring hits today for the Las Vegas 51s in a 2-0 victory against visiting El Paso.

In the fourth inning, Brown walked, stole second and scored on a Teagarden single for a 1-0 Las Vegas lead. In the fifth, Matt Reynolds doubled and scored on Brown’s single.

Starter Rafael Montero pitched into the seventh inning to earn the win, striking out seven batters and yielding just three hits.

El Paso had two runners on base in the ninth inning, but the 51s’ Gonzalez Germen got Alex Castellanos to ground out to end the game.

The series concludes at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
