A 61-year-old man was killed this morning after a car hit him while he was crossing Lake Mead Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk, Metro Police reported.
Police responded about 1:10 a.m. to the incident on Lake Mead Boulevard, west of Hollywood Boulevard. It appeared the man was trying to cross the street when a Mini Cooper headed west struck him, police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
