Coroner IDs man shot to death at gas station

A man shot and killed at a gas station Tuesday has been identified as 40-year-old Santiago Spicer Flanders, according to Clark County Coroner’s Office officials.

Flanders was shot and killed about 10:55 p.m. after stepping out of his vehicle at a gas station at 3785 W. Tropicana Avenue, west of the Las Vegas Strip, Metro Police officials said.

According to homicide detectives, Flanders had parked his car next to a gas pump and waited 30 minutes before he got out. As soon as he stepped out, he was shot multiple times, police said.

He was transported to University Medical Center, where he died from multiple gunshot wounds, coroner’s officials said.

Two suspects were seen getting into a tan, four-door sedan and driving away, police said. They have not been located.
