Two Nevadans ID’d as victims of airplane crash last week near Lake Mead

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified two people who died in a plane crash Thursday near the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Troy Saxton-Getty Jr., 48, of Carson City, and Natalie Jimenez, 28, of Overton, both died of multiple blunt-force injuries sustained during the plane crash, according to the Coroner’s Office.

The small, two-seater plane went down Thursday night near Echo Bay Airport, according to Clark County fire officials. The plane caught fire after the crash, complicating rescue efforts.

Volunteer firefighters searched for the occupants of the plane at the scene, Deputy Fire Chief Jon Klassen said after the incident, missing that they were still in the cabin because of the fire damage.
