51s fall in 11 innings at Sacramento

The Las Vegas 51s were defeated 7-5 today in 11 innings at Sacramento when it surrendered a two-run home run to Sacramento’s Andy Parrino to end the game.

Las Vegas forced extra innings on Kevin Plawecki’s solo home run with two outs in the top of the ninth to tie the game at five.

Andrew Brown hit his 14th home run of the season for Las Vegas, helping the 51s erase a 5-0 deficit after the initial four innings. Cory Vaughn, Matt den Dekker and Brown each had a pair of hits for Las Vegas.

The second game of the four-game series is at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
