A man was arrested Thursday night after a police task force seized 157 marijuana plants and an illegal firearm from a southern valley house, Metro Police said.

Joshua Joslyn, 39, was also storing one pound of freshly harvested marijuana at 5745 Sobb Ave., a home he was renting, said Metro Lt. Laz Chavez.

Metro's narcotics unit was tipped off to suspicious activity in the neighborhood near Jones Boulevard and Patrick Lane two weeks ago and performed surveillance on the house. At 6 p.m. Thursday night, a task force made up of narcotics officers from Henderson, Las Vegas, Metro and the Drug Enforcement Agency served a search warrant and found that the location was being used as a grow house.

Joslyn was charged with three felonies: illegal possession and illegal production of marijuana and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
