Plan ahead for these road projects in the coming week in the Las Vegas Valley

Here’s a look at some of the roadwork or road closings you might encounter in the coming week across the Las Vegas Valley:

ONGOING ROAD PROJECTS

Interstate 15

F Street Connection Phase 3 — Interstate 15 between Washington Avenue and U.S. 95: I-15 on-ramp at D Street is closed; southbound lanes on I-15 have been moved to the northbound side and limited to two lanes in both directions. Projected end date: summer.

U.S. 95 Northwest Corridor Project - U.S. 95 southbound from Elkhorn Bridge to Clark County 215 Beltway: nightly lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday while phase two of construction begins in building a drainage structure for the Clark County Flood Control District. Northbound traffic will shift to the newly constructed crossover starting Sunday night. Projected end date: Monday night.

Clark County

Sahara Avenue Bridge over Desert Rose Golf Course: closed as part of the Las Vegas Wash and Flamingo Wash improvements. Projected end date: September.

Nellis Boulevard south of Sahara Avenue to pedestrian bridge of Flamingo Arroyo Trail: one lane will be closed starting Saturday due to construction on the Las Vegas Wash project. Projected end date: early September.

Lamb Boulevard between Owens Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard: various lanes will be closed intermittently for a street and sidewalk improvement project. Projected end date: mid-September

Desert Inn Road between McLeod Drive and Mojave Road: various lanes will be closed starting Sunday for a street and sidewalk improvement project. Projected end date: early September.

Las Vegas

Martin Luther King Boulevard, between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard: sections of the inside northbound and southbound lanes will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekends for median island improvements. Projected end date: Sunday.

Martin Luther King Boulevard at Mineral Avenue: street disruption for paving; expected traffic delays. Projected end date: July 19.

Rancho Drive between Sahara Avenue and U.S. 95: intermittent lane closures while fiber-optic cables, traffic signal upgrades and digital message signs are installed to improve traffic congestion. Work will be completed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in busy sections of the road and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in residential sections. Projected end date: fall 2014.

F Street between Bonanza Road and D Street: closed for bridge construction. Projected end date: Aug. 1.

Lake Mead Boulevard between Jones Boulevard and Decatur Boulevard: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 21.

Vegas Drive between Rancho Drive and Jones Boulevard: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Aug. 30.

Fourth Street between Carson Avenue and Fremont Street: street disruption for sewer repairs; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 7.

11th Street south of Fremont Street: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Wednesday.

Fremont Street east of 14th Street and west of Charleston Boulevard: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 13

Third Street between Lewis Street and Clark Avenue: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Thursday

Bonneville Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Town Center Drive: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 19.

Lone Mountain Road west of Rainbow Boulevard: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 5.

Mojave Road at Bonanza Road: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Wednesday.

Pecos Road between Sunrise Avenue and Stewart Avenue: street disruption to fix potholes; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 5.

Racel Street between Grazing Grass Street and El Capitan Way: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: Oct. 28.

Torrey Pines Drive at Lake Mead Boulevard and at Cheyenne Avenue: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 19.

Henderson

Water Street from Boulder Highway to Lake Mead Boulevard: lane restriction. Projected end date: July.

Appaloosa Road from Equestrian to Bridle drives: lane restriction. Projected end date: July.

Grand Teton Drive between Fort Apache and Oso Blanca roads: street disruption; expect traffic delays. Projected end date: July 30.

North Las Vegas

Craig Road between Revere Street and North Fifth Street: intermittent lane closures for median landscaping. Projected end date: mid-July

Cary Avenue and Revere Street: intermittent street disruptions while a roundabout is removed and replaced with traffic lights. Projected end date: fall.

Losee Road and Lone Mountain Road: street disruptions starting next week while a pedestrian bridge is being built. Projected end date: fall.

OTHER DISRUPTIONS

North Las Vegas

Commerce Street between Craig Road; Kraft Street at Commerce; Lone Mountain Road at Camino Al Norte: closed beginning 10 a.m. Thursday for North Las Vegas’ Fourth of July Jubilee at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Projected end date: midnight Friday.
