A man shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting in North Las Vegas has been identified as 38-year-old David L. Robinson, according to Clark County Coroner’s Office officials.
A North Las Vegas Police officer shot Robinson multiple times after attempting to stop him in the street, authorities said. Robinson, who was armed with a knife, refused to cooperate and the situation escalated, North Las Vegas Police Officer Chrissie Coon said.
Robinson died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, coroner’s officials said.
The officer is a five-year veteran of the North Las Vegas Police Department. The name of the officer has not yet been released.
