The topic of hell is not funny, any more than Adolf Hitler’s evil travesties against humanity were funny. If there is a hell, should Adolf get out someday?
I don’t know what hell is or if people in heaven will see people in hell, although Jesus told a story that hinted they may. What I do know is that people’s beliefs should not be the brunt of jokes.
As a Christian, I have to add that if Alex Beam’s Tuesday column were written about Muslim beliefs, no Muslim would be laughing. Yes, Muslims believe in a hell.
