130 prospective lawyers pass Nevada bar exam

CARSON CITY — Nevada is apparently an attractive place to practice law.

Chief Justice Mark Gibbons of the Nevada Supreme Court said 130 prospective lawyers passed the February bar examination. He said some may have to meet other requirements before they can practice law in Nevada.

Of the 130, 51 list an out-of-state address, most from California but one from Hoboken, N.J., and another from Union, Ky.

These out-of-staters may have taken the Nevada test just so they can practice in this state if they get a client.

Of the total who passed the exam, 47 listed their address as Las Vegas, where the UNLV Boyd School of Law is located.
