51s snap losing streak at El Paso

The Las Vegas 51s snapped a six-game losing streak today behind a 2 for 4 performance from Andrew Brown with two RBIs in a 8-5 victory at El Paso to open a four-game series.

Dana Eveland (4-1) gave up two runs in five innings, striking out 10 batters to earn the win. Buddy Carlyle pitched two scoreless innings to finish the game and earn the save.

Taylor Teagarden reached base four times for Las Vegas — two hits and two walks — and Cesar Puello scored two runs.

The series continues at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday.
