Freshman Elijah Hicks had four touchdown runs today for the Las Vegas High football team in a 63-12 homecoming-game victory against Valley.

Trevor Swenson added two touchdown passes for the Wildcats, hooking up with Kyle Christensen and Hanoi Rabago.

Las Vegas, who improved to 2-0 in the Northeast League, also scored on a kickoff return for a touchdown from Kode Mwirigi. Defensively, linebacker Jacob Littlefield recovered a fumble in the endzone for a touchdown.

Las Vegas didn’t let the distractions of homecoming week interfere with preparing for Valley.

“The kids focused well all week. They did their job,” Las Vegas coach James Thurman said. “That is what we talked about all week is being focused.”
