Police are searching for a suspect in a hit and run accident that killed a man last month.
Officers responded to reports of an injured person around 5:20 a.m. on Aug. 16 in the 2300 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard, according to North Las Vegas Police. When they arrived, they found a 63-year-old man lying in the roadway with critical injuries. He was transported to University Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation found that the man was trying to cross the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a southbound vehicle. The vehicle, which investigators believe to be a silver Mitsubishi Galant, fled the scene, according to police. A suspect has not been identified.
