Call center opens in Las Vegas, hopes to hire 500

A health-care call center has opened in Las Vegas with plans to hire hundreds of people.

C3/CustomerContactChannels, which operates 17 call centers globally, said today it opened a customer-support facility at 490 E. Capovilla Ave.

The call center has hired about 300 people and wants 500 more by Jan. 1, according to company officials.

It opened Monday — Labor Day — representatives said.

C3, based in Plantation, Fla., operates call centers in Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Texas and Oklahoma, as well as the Philippines, Bulgaria, Scotland, China, Guatemala and India.

In Las Vegas, the company will take calls for health-insurance companies and Medicare services.
