Spring Valley High School football players Shiloh Fao, Christian Tasi and Drazen Tojic on Monday, July 21, 2014.

Spring Valley coach Marcus Teal said he structured a big chunk of the team’s playbook around do-everything senior Christian Tasi for this season.

Good call.

Tasi continued his stellar season Saturday night with a 94-yard touchdown run and a 25-yard touchdown pass to Antony Vazquez to help the Grizzlies roll to a 48-0 rout at Western.

“He’s a very talented athlete,” Teal said of Tasi. “We really wanted to focus on centering what we did around him. He can do a lot of things. He’s a dangerous runner, he’s really tough, he loves playing football and he works really hard.”

Spring Valley (3-2, 2-1 Division I-A Sunset) dominated with its rushing attack, as Teal said Marcus Dawson had two long touchdown runs, and Michael Bianco, Antonio Wallace and Lovell Taylor each added rushing TDs.

“I’m just very proud of my guys for how hard they play,” Teal said. “I really hope they continue that and see they are a very good team. We’ve been waiting for it for a long time, and we want to keep it going.”

Western sunk to 0-5.
