A man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a bank robbery last week in Henderson, police said.

Jeffrey Kerr, 36, was taken into custody at an extended stay hotel near Nellis Air Force Base.

The robbery took place June 23 at a U.S. Bank branch on 10565 S. Eastern Ave., near Horizon Ridge Parkway.

Police said Kerr approached one of the tellers, demanded cash, then fled the bank on foot.

No weapons were used and no one was injured during the robbery, police said.

Kerr is being held at the Henderson Detention Center on charges of robbery and burglary.

It's the Henderson Police Department's second arrest of a suspected bank robber in two days. A man accused of robbing four banks in June was arrested Monday.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
