Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, right, celebrates with Jonathan Herrera after hitting a two-run home run in the third inning of a spring training baseball game against the Oakland Athletics on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Cashman Field in Las Vegas. No. 68 is Cubs right fielder Jorge Soler.

Kris Bryant has made a strong impression during spring training with the Chicago Cubs. On Saturday, he put on a show for his hometown fans during Big League Weekend at Cashman Field.

A day after going 0 for 4 against the Oakland Athletics, Bryant came off the bench in the third inning and blasted an opposite-field, two-run homer off the first pitch he saw from Jesse Hahn.

Bryant, who was scheduled to play third base but didn't start because of shoulder fatigue, struck again in the sixth inning with a solo homer to left-center off Evan Scribner.

The 23-year-old third baseman drove in all of the Cubs' runs in a 3-1 victory in front of 10,375 fans at the home of the Las Vegas 51s.

Bryant, a 2010 graduate of Bonanza High School, leads the major leagues with six home runs this spring.

Chicago's Kyle Hendricks didn't allow a baserunner in five innings.
