Apple Pay is coming to the Strip, making its debut at the Cosmopolitan this summer.

Guests will have the option of using the electronic wallet service to make payments at the resort’s front desk, concierge, restaurants, bars, VIP services and select retailers by early June. Pay terminals will also accept other forms of electronic payment, including Google Wallet. The service is already up and running at several Cosmopolitan sales points, including the Boulevard Pool Shop and News Stand, but will not be available for gaming.

The contactless payment technology launched last fall allows users to make payments through designated terminals via the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch. Businesses ranging from McDonald’s to Walgreens to JetBlue have already begun accepting payments through Apple Pay, but the popularity of mobile payments services as a whole has been slow-growing with users.

The Cosmopolitan is among the first resorts to begin offering the service. Apple Pay will also become available at select Marriott and Renaissance hotel locations this summer.

Several Strip retailers, such as Foot Locker at Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops and Alexandra Noel Salon at the Flamingo, already support electronic wallet payments, but the Cosmopolitan is the first Strip property to offer Apple Pay for full resort services.

“The arrival of Apple Pay on the Las Vegas Strip is a natural fit, offering increasingly mobile-centric, luxury travelers a streamlined and convenient experience,” Cosmopolitan Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Marchese said in a statement. “As always, we are thrilled to lead the market with a new component to a Las Vegas experience that makes everything a bit faster and a great deal easier.”
