Fire outside store doesn’t damage Savers at Lake Mead, Rampart

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue received multiple calls today about a large column of smoke caused by a shopping center fire, according to the department's Twitter page.

Calls came in after smoke and flames started about 5:55 a.m. near the intersection of Lake Mead and Rampart boulevards.

The fire was located in the garden section outside of the Savers at 8530 W. Lake Mead Boulevard. The store was not open when the fire occurred, the fire department reported.

Firefighters had the fire contained and cleaned up by 6:15 a.m.

No damage was done to the inside of the store.
