A Nevada state court jury is due to hear more testimony Wednesday in the trial of a Bulgarian woman accused of driving away after her car struck and killed a grandfather pushing a stroller on the shoulder of a busy Las Vegas road nearly a year ago.
Galina Stoyanova Kilova pleaded not guilty in the crash that killed 63-year-old Michael Grubbs and left Grubbs' 18-month-old granddaughter minor injuries in an overturned stroller.
A motorist testified Tuesday that he witnessed the crash and tried unsuccessfully to follow the Honda Civic after the November 2014 crash.
The 29-year-old Kilova could face up to 15 years in prison if she's convicted of failure to stop at the scene of a crash causing injury or death.
She surrendered to police eight days later.
