Multivehicle crash

Two vehicles caught fire in a four-vehicle crash today in Henderson, sending one person to the hospital and shutting down part of St. Rose Parkway, according to a fire department spokeswoman.

The Henderson Fire Department responded about 5:30 p.m. to the crash on eastbound St. Rose, near Coronado Center Drive, and put out the vehicle fires, spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

Eastbound St. Rose was closed between Coronado Center and Eastern Avenue; the road was expected to reopen by 9:30 p.m., Richards said.

An adult was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospitals — Siena Campus with minor injuries, she said. No other injuries were reported.
