SAN DIEGO — Two members of sadomasochistic sex triangle have been sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering the young wife of a Marine deployed in Afghanistan.
Louis Ray Perez and Dorothy Maraglino were sentenced Thursday in San Diego Superior Court for the first-degree murder of 22-year-old Brittany Killgore.
Prosecutors say Killgore innocently became friends with the three and was slain in April 2012 to fulfill their sadistic fantasy. She didn't participate in the sex activities.
Killgore had planned to file for divorce and return home to Pennsylvania.
She was last seen with Perez, who had offered to help her move from an apartment near Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base.
She texted a friend the word "help" that night.
Her nude body was found four days later near a lake.
