Coroner IDs man killed in Thanksgiving Day shooting

A man police say was fatally shot following a dispute with his ex-wife early Thursday has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Henry Gregory Bankey, 58, of Las Vegas.

Officers were called about 4:15 a.m. to the 8300 block of Fullmoon Maple Avenue, near South Cimarron Road and West Sahara Avenue, according to Metro Police.

Investigators believe Bankey and his ex-wife, 53-year-old Michelle Young, got into an argument before he was shot, police said.

Bankey suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Young was arrested on a count of murder and booked at the Clark County jail, police said.
