Seth Georgelos, the Silverado High football team’s 5-foot-6, 135-pound running back, rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown today in a 21-7 victory against host Las Vegas High.

“But he plays like a kid who is 6-2, 190 pounds,” said Randall Cunningham, the Silverado coach.

One week after losing by 38 points to Sunrise power Liberty, Silverado (5-3) bounced back to snap Las Vegas’ six-game winning streak. Both teams struggled to move the ball because of the wind.

Micah Weber connected with Devion Clayton for a 20-yard touchdown pass, and defensive lineman Dean Doss recovered a fumble in the endzone for the other Silverado score.

“He got so excited,” Cunningham said of Doss, a senior. “If anyone deserves (to score) it is him. He’s just a happy-go-lucky type of kid.”
