The Colosseum theater at Caesars Palace was temporarily evacuated today after a report of a suspicious item, according to Metro Police.

Officer Jesse Roybal said police declared the situation "all clear" at about 3:30 p.m., about half an hour after they were called to the scene. He didn't have details on the nature of the item or why it was considered suspicious.

The evacuation reportedly happened during a CinemaCon screening of “Now You See Me 2.”

The screening stopped and everyone was asked to leave, according to entertainment reporter Robin Leach. A backpack was removed, Leach reported.

Moments before the evacuation, magician David Copperfield had performed an illusion, Leach reported via Twitter.

Caesars Entertainment spokeswoman Jennifer Forkish described the evacuation as orderly and said it was done "out of an abundance of caution."

The theater seats about 4,300 people.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
