The cause of a fire at a building that some claim has been the site of paranormal and ghost activity is unknown, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
Firefighters responded about 12:20 a.m. to the building at 5285 Dean Martin Drive that has seen numerous businesses come and go — a Mexican restaurant, the Hidden Secrets gentlemen’s club and the Rox, and then the Epic Nightclub. It’s now occupied by squatters, the fire department said.
Upon arrival, firefighters found flames in a dumpster outside the building but were able to put it out before it spread to the building, officials said. Nobody was injured.
A previous owner of the building called the Paranormal Investigation Team of Nevada to investigate whether it was haunted after a series of unexplained events, according to a Las Vegas Weekly report.
After an investigation including electronic voice phenomenon recordings and readings with electromagnetic field detectors, no results of the building being cursed were found, Las Vegas Weekly reported.
The fire, amongst other peculiar occurrences at this building, remains under investigation.
