Man wounded in shooting after argument outside convenience store

A man was injured Wednesday night after an argument led to a shooting outside of an east valley convenience store, according to Metro Police.

The shooting took place about 11:50 p.m. at the Circle K at 4830 E. Bonanza Road, near Lamb Boulevard, Officer Jesse Roybal said.

Two men were arguing outside of a convenience store when they both pulled out handguns, Roybal said. One of the men was shot multiple times and taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

The shooter left the scene before officers arrived, he said. It was unclear if he was injured.

No arrests have been made, Roybal said.
