Football: There is no close second

Las Vegas Sun sports editors Ray Brewer and Case Keefer ring in the start of football season by discussing some of the valley's top storylines and teams, like Bishop Gorman, Liberty, Arbor View and Desert Pines.

K.C. Moore threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Marquelle Diggs today for the Spring Valley High football team, but it wasn’t enough in a 36-6 loss to Mountain Crest of Utah.

Despite the loss, traveling into Utah for a game had its benefits for the Las Vegas school.

“We didn’t show it on the field, but we got some compliments about our (program),” Spring Valley coach Marcus Teal said.
