Police: 1 dead in hail of gunfire near downtown Las Vegas

Two men were spotted running away after more than a dozen rounds were fired in a fatal shooting early this morning near downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.
One person was killed in the barrage of gunfire about 2:40 a.m. on Euclid Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard and Fremont Street, police said.
Multiple people, including the victim, called 911 to report the shooting, police said. A witness reported seeing two men running toward Fremont Street, and another person saw a black car speed away, police said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, will be identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Detectives have not yet determined a motive for the slaying.
