CARSON CITY — Traffic deaths in Nevada last year increased about 10 percent from 2014, the state reported today.

The state departments of Public Safety and Transportation said preliminary figures show 321 deaths in 2015, an increase of 30 from the previous year.

Statewide, the most highway deaths — 432 — occurred in 2006.

In Clark County, fatalities were up by 18.9 percent to 207, officials said.

Preliminary statistics show 33 people died in drunk driving crashes in Clark County, down 19.5 percent. Motorcycle fatalities dropped from 38 to 30.

Pedestrian deaths in Clark County, meanwhile, rose from 51 in 2014 to 60 last year. Moped deaths increased from six to 14, and bicycle fatalities doubled to eight.

Pershing County was the only county without a traffic fatality.
