An elderly woman whose body was found in her ransacked east valley townhouse Wednesday morning has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Mary Margaret Trimble, 70.
Trimble, a musician and member of the Nevada Chamber Symphony, died from asphyxiation, officials said. Her death was ruled a homicide.
A cleaning crew found Trimble’s body about 10 a.m. in a gated community on Dawnflower Street, near Mojave Road, Metro Police said. The home had been burglarized, police said.
Friend Rebecca Ramsey told KSNV-TV that Trimble was an accomplished viola player who performed with her husband and son on a Lawrence Welk Christmas Show in 1979.
“Anytime anybody — especially an elderly person — is killed in their own house, this is a major concern,” Metro Lt. Dan McGrath said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro at 702-828-3521 or via email at [email protected]. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at crimestoppersofnv.com".
