Man wanted on murder charge in Georgia arrested in Las Vegas

Authorities in Las Vegas on Tuesday arrested a Georgia fugitive who is facing a murder charge, the U.S. Marshals Service announced.

Cepada Hilton, 34, was arrested by a task force of federal, state and local agencies in the area of Paradise and Desert Inn roads, officials said.

Authorities allege Hilton shot a man in Atlanta during an argument. They received information he fled to Las Vegas after the slaying, officials said.

Hilton was booked at the Clark County Detention Center, where he awaits extradition, officials said.

“This is yet another example of how our joint agency efforts are apprehending fugitives who think they can hide in the valley,” District of Nevada U.S. Marshal Christopher Hoye said in a news release.
