German Bastidas had an interception return for a touchdown today for the Green Valley High football team in a 65-0 victory against visiting Eldorado.

The Gators (3-1) also received a pair of touchdown runs from each Malek Adkins and Joseph Porter-Riley.

Brayden Anderson had a receiving touchdown for Green Valley, and Julian Hulse and Kalyja Waialae rushed for scores.

Green Valley has one of its most important games of the season next week when it visits six-time Sunrise Region champion Liberty in the Southeast League opener. After having its bye last week, tonight’s game — regardless of the opponent — was a good preparation.

“It was a good game to knock off some of the rust heading into next week,” Green Valley coach Brian Castro said.
