2 hospitalized, dog killed in south valley bee attack

Bee stings injured three people and killed a dog Friday evening in the south valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Crews received reports shortly before 6 p.m. of people being chased by bees down Heavenly Lights Avenue, near Eastern Avenue and Robindale Road, officials said.

Two people were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with unknown injuries and another was treated on scene, officials said. A dog was killed in the attack.

Commuters were asked to avoid the area as it was still an active scene as of about 7 p.m., officials said.
