Metro Police standoff in downtown Las Vegas ends with man in custody

Metro Police say a wanted man who barricaded himself in a downtown Las Vegas residence for several hours today has been taken into custody.

Officers, including members of the Metro SWAT team, responded to the home in the 300 block of 14th Street, police said. Nearby homes were not been evacuated, but the street was closed, police said.

The man was taken into custody without further incident about 3 p.m., police said.

Police did not provide any additional information.
