Don Rickles, the king of insult humor and the most politically incorrect funny man ever seen, has delivered his last verbal barb on a fellow celebrity or an unfortunate audience member sitting too close to the stage.
Rickles left a wide void with his departure from the insult comedy world.
It’s said that his sarcasm toward his friends in show biz was out of love and respect. It almost seemed like if a particular celebrity was not picked on by Rickles, that person would feel left out and then really feel bad.
I’m not sure if anyone can ever replace him as the insult king. But should he rise above the mass, I say to him, Mr. Rickles, enjoy ruling in Hockey Puck Heaven.
