A Las Vegas suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting of a woman in January is in custody in Colorado after an armed robbery there, according to Metro Police.

Benjamin Weeks, 19, is suspected in the slaying of Adrianna George, 27, who was found gunned down in an east valley apartment, police said.

Officers were dispatched about 9:45 a.m. Jan. 16 to the unit in the 400 block of Lamb Boulevard, north of Stewart Avenue, police said. There they found George’s body with multiple gunshot wounds.

A relative, who discovered the body, had gone to check on her because George hadn’t been heard from in a while, police said.

Weeks and a cousin of his are accused in an armed robbery at a convenience store in Carbondale, Colo., on Feb. 16, according to the Denver Post.

The men were spotted by police several days later on a public bus, and as officers approached them, they jumped from an emergency window, the newspaper reported.

More than 20 officers from several agencies joined a manhunt for that stretched into the following day, according to the newspaper. They were then arrested and treated for “exposure-related injuries” suffered in the backcountry.

Metro detectives went to Colorado last month and obtained a no-bond warrant for Weeks, the newspaper reported.

An extradition to Las Vegas, where he will face multiple felony counts, is being arranged, police said.
