Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto’s recent guest column (“Senator to stage career fairs for veterans,” July 20) stated well the case and the promise of needed support for veterans of the U.S. armed forces who have served the nation with distinction at risk of their lives and their health. I am impressed that this was done in late July, not grandstanding around Memorial Day or Veterans Day.
Kudos to Cortez Masto and to those working with her to recognize and assist veterans who require a helping hand.
