The Nevada Highway Patrol is praising two troopers for running in to traffic on Interstate 15 to save a woman who on two different occasions ran onto the freeway.
The unidentified troopers were awarded a medal by the Nevada Department of Public Safety, officials said today.
The incidents happened earlier this year exactly two months apart on I-15 near Silverado Ranch Boulevard, officials said.
In both cases, the same distressed woman ran onto the freeway with a trooper following her and getting her out of harm’s way, officials said.
“Troopers constantly make split-second decisions, and their decisions and actions that day saved the life of a young woman,” officials said.
