Multiple trailers caught fire this evening in the southwest valley, sending a giant column of black smoke pluming into the Las Vegas sky, according to Clark County Fire Department.

The blaze began about 5 p.m. at 6475 West Gary Avenue, near Blue Diamond Road and Rainbow Boulevard, fire officials said.

Fire crews spotted smoke and flames coming from multiple trailers, but were able to knock down most of it in less than an hour, fire officials said.

There were no injuries and damages have not been estimated, officials said.
