Henderson Police searching for man in stabbing of Uber driver

Henderson Police are looking for a man who stabbed an Uber driver during a carjacking in December.

The incident happened about 10 p.m. on Dec. 14 at an apartment complex on Eastern Avenue near Horizon Ridge Parkway, police said.

The victim pulled up to the complex to make an Uber pickup when the man slashed his neck and stole his gold Chevrolet Captiva, police said.

The SUV was recovered about a block away, police said. The victim suffered severe injuries and is still recovering, police said.

Police are asking the public’s assistance in finding the suspect, described as a white man with blue eyes and blond hair, about 25 to 30 years old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, and 150 to 175 pounds. He has a red tattoo under his right wrist, police said.
