Las Vegas police searching for suspect in early morning robbery

An armed man who robbed an east valley convenience store earlier today is being sought by authorities, according to Metro Police.

Officers were summoned about 3:15 a.m. to the Terrible Herbst at 3710 Nellis Blvd., south of Desert Inn Road, dispatch logs show.

According to Metro, the man entered the store and threatened an employee with a gun, demanding money from a register.

The suspect, who wore a dark blue Seattle Seahawks shirt and cap, and dark shorts, walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
