No evidence of criminal activity from stolen marijuana registry information

CARSON CITY — State officials say they have not identified any criminal activity resulting from the hacking of 40,000 personal accounts in Nevada’s medical marijuana program.

Hacked information included the names of medical marijuana cardholders and doctors and information about dispensaries.

As a result, the program’s computer system was shut down for several weeks, but is now back up, Joseph L. Pollock, deputy administrator in the state Division of Public and Behavioral Health, told the Legislative Interim Finance Committee.
