Metro Police homicide detectives continue to seek information in the slaying of a man who was found “brutally stabbed” inside his apartment near Twain Avenue and Decatur Boulevard in late June.

In an effort to drum up new leads, police today released photos of the victim, 45-year-old Jesus Vazquez Mendiola.

Mendiola’s roommate discovered the victim’s body on the floor about 8:40 p.m. June 29 in the 3600 block of Ala Drive, police said.

Witnesses reported hearing arguing coming from the apartment earlier in the evening, and detectives found evidence of a physical struggle, police said.
