A man arrested Friday after the fatal stabbing of a homeless man near Maryland Parkway and Flamingo Road was jailed on a count of murder with a deadly weapon, according to Metro Police.

Police took Aaron Park, 39, into custody shortly after the 1:35 p.m. stabbing in the 1300 block of Flamingo, police said. He’s at the Clark County Detention Center without the possibility of bail.

Officers were dispatched to the scene and found a man suffering from at least one stab wound, police said. He died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

An investigation determined that Park and the victim were in an altercation before the fatal attack, police said.

On Friday, Metro Lt. Carlos Hank said that “detectives credit the quick response of the Metro patrol units in the area for the apprehension of the suspect.”
