Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke enjoys a horseback ride in the Bears Ears National Monument with local and state representatives in Blanding, Utah, Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Opponents and supporters of the national monument have jockeyed for position with Zinke on his four-day visit to Utah.

Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., says she’ll be meeting with Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke on Monday in Mesquite.

Zinke’s office has not confirmed the visit, which would be his second to Nevada in two months after a stop in Pahrump in June. Thursday was the secretary’s first day on a five-day tour in the West, according to his office.

President Donald Trump has directed Zinke to review federal monument designations. Zinke is expected to tour New Mexico’s Organ Mountains Monument on Friday.

Titus’ office confirmed the Monday meeting on Thursday. She said in a statement that she joined advocates in pushing for the Basin and Range and Gold Butte monuments.

"I will send Secretary Zinke a clear message when he arrives in our state: Keep your hands off our national monuments,” she said in a statement Thursday.
