Players cruise about the ice during a drill as the Golden Knights hold their first on ice practice during their inaugural Development Camp at the Las Vegas Ice Center on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

When the Golden Knights take the ice for their first home game in October, it will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network, the NHL and NBC announced today.

The Oct. 10 showdown with the Arizona Coyotes is one of five games that will be nationally televised this season for the Golden Knights.

“We’re proud to offer our most diverse NHL schedule ever to fans across the country,” Sam Flood, executive producer and president of production for NBC Sports, said in a statement.

“From classic rivalries and historic franchises, to young stars such as Auston Matthews (of the Toronto Maple Leafs) and Connor McDavid (of the Edmonton Oilers), a hockey-crazed market in Nashville, and a new franchise in Vegas, this schedule represents our commitment to present the NHL’s diverse and emerging stars, teams and stories,” he said.

Las Vegas will also be on NBC Sports Network for two matchups with the Los Angeles Kings and a game with the San Jose Sharks in March 2018.

Here is the full slate of Golden Knights games that will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network:

• Tuesday, Oct. 10 vs. Arizona Coyotes, 7 p.m.

• Thursday, Dec. 28 at Los Angeles Kings, 7 p.m.

• Friday, Feb. 2 at Minnesota Wild, 5 p.m.
