Death of man, woman in Henderson investigated as murder-suicide

Investigators are probing the case of a man and a woman believed to have died in a murder-suicide and whose bodies were found in a desert area in Henderson Thursday afternoon, according to city police.

The man, 55, and the woman, 54, were found by a passer-by shortly before 3 p.m. lying near a sedan on East Larson Lane and Gillespie Street, near Las Vegas Boulevard South and Volunteer Boulevard, Henderson police said.

The couple had suffered apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Details on their possible relationship or who detectives believed fired the weapon were not readily available.
