Man found shot to death at Henderson apartment complex after party

A man was found shot to death early today at a Henderson apartment complex about an hour after officers broke up a loud party, police said.

Henderson Police said they received a complaint about 12:45 a.m. of a noisy party at the Lakewood Cove Apartments, 1100 Center St. Officers broke up the party without incident, police said.

Just before 2 a.m., officers and firefighters were sent back to the same location after a report that a man was unconscious, not breathing and receiving CPR, police said.

They found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified him as Angel Thompson of Henderson.

Police said they were investigating the death as a homicide.
